About the Sub-Forum on Media, Communication, and Digital Culture

The International Academic Symposium on Media, Communication, and Digital Culture serves as a specialized sub-forum of the 3rd International Conference on Social Sciences and Cultural Studies (ICSSCS 2026). The symposium provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, media professionals, policymakers, and graduate students to exchange ideas and present innovative research on the rapidly evolving relationships among media, communication, technology, and contemporary culture.

As artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and emerging communication technologies continue to reshape the production, circulation, and consumption of information, media and communication studies have entered a new era characterized by intelligent technologies, algorithmic governance, digital participation, and global connectivity. This symposium aims to foster critical dialogue on the opportunities and challenges arising from these transformations while encouraging interdisciplinary approaches that bridge communication studies with sociology, cultural studies, political science, education, digital humanities, and information technology.

The symposium welcomes both theoretical and empirical research that explores the social, cultural, political, and technological dimensions of contemporary media ecosystems. Particular attention will be given to emerging issues related to artificial intelligence, digital culture, platform governance, online communities, media ethics, and the future of communication in an increasingly interconnected world.

Through keynote speeches, oral presentations, and academic discussions, the symposium seeks to promote international collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and contribute to the development of innovative perspectives on media and communication in the digital age.
